Be amazed by unique sand sculptures of lots of animals at AquaZoo Leeuwarden. Children can do a free scavenger hunt, build their own sand sculpture or play in a giant sandbox. Determine the final masterpiece!
The winner of the design competition has been chosen: the final sand sculpture will be a special group of animals designed by the winner! During the weekend of 14 and 15 June, her design will be built live in the park. Together with the sand artists, she will work on her winning creation. Come and watch her idea come to life in sand.

Win a school trip
Zand & Zoo's primary school design competition has produced a true sand champion. Village school Trijegeaster Honk from Ouwsterhaule built an impressive sand sculpture and may call itself the best sand builder! As a reward, the whole school won a free school trip to AquaZoo Leeuwarden.

Natuurmuseum Fryslân
Visit the Wake Up! exhibition at Natuurmuseum Fryslân and learn all about sleep in humans and animals. Feel like seeing the animals in real life afterwards? Then come to AquaZoo, where from 18 April you will also discover sand sculptures during Sand & Zoo.
