Allosaurus lived in many places in North America, but scientists have also found bones and paw prints in Portugal, Tanzania & Australia. Allosaurus was the most ferocious killer during the Jurassic, you could think of it as the blood-thirsty predecessor of Tyrannosaurus rex. The external similarities are great. For example, they both have jagged teeth, but Allosaurus can be recognized by its three razor-sharp claws with which it could easily cut through the flesh of its prey. Furthermore, it has a protruding tail that provides balance, a very strong neck and triangular horns for its eyes.
An Allosaurus skeleton with a hole in its tail has been found? At the site of the hole, it was hit at the time by the tail-spine of Stegosaurus.
A mine in Utah(USA) has yielded more than forty Allosaurus skeletons. Both skeletons of full-grown and juveniles 3 meters in length have been found.
