Brave

Golden poison frogs are active during the day. They live on the ground in the wet rainforest. Most golden poison frogs are shy and hide when there is danger. The golden poison frog does not. It probably feels safe enough because of its enormously poisonous skin.

Small but dangerous

The golden poison frog is one of the most poisonous animals on earth. One five-centimetre-long frog can have enough venom in its skin to kill 10 adult humans. The venom comes from the insects they eat. The frogs here at AquaZoo are not poisonous. In fact, they are not fed poisonous insects here. It's much safer for the animal keepers.
